Finally packed and ready to go. It has taken me several days to get ready for this trip. My initial plan all sounded so simple, but every few hours home reminded me of things I should take with me. So.....after loading half of what I own into the Jeep I am finally ready. I am sure a third of what I brought will never get used and a third of what I need to bring never crossed my mind. 25 years ago I could have been ready to go on a trip like this with 2 hours notice. Now it takes me days to get ready and I still feel like I am missing things. 25 years ago I would have been missing a lot of things, but I wouldn't have cared. Now I am am old and high-maintenance. I will probably leave Monday morning and hope to make camp somewhere in South Dakota Monday evening. I have a new camera to play with so I should have some photos from the road soon.
